Remember last week?
When I was feeling a little under the weather …
… and my computer croaked on me.
Well the good news is that I wandered into my office on Wednesday morning last week to find my computer screensaver staring back at me, and the big box itself happily humming away behind it.
Yes, a technological miracle.
Or perhaps the world’s longest reboot.
No such reboot for me though.
My general sense of not feeling too clever on Monday had blossomed into a full-scale Snotpocalypse by Friday.
Bad enough for me to head out to my local Emergency Care center to get a diagnosis.
It had been a long time since I last had Covid, but I was showing most of the symptoms except for the aches and fever.
It certainly felt even crappier than both of my prior Covid episodes.
They spent some time poking me and prodding me and peering into all upper body orifices before declaring that it wasn’t Covid, because there were no aches or fever.
But it was Bronchitis, so they gave me a nice shiny Z-Pack to take home and enjoy over the weekend.
I have one day to complete the regimen, and it does appear to be doing its job, although my senses of taste and smell are still a little off.
So no beer for me last week, and probably not for a few more days this week.
What’s the point if I can’t taste or smell it anyway?
I did get to spend some quality time with Mr. Bagel though.
