We lost Mr. Bagel today.
He was about sixteen and such a sweet, loving, generous, and patient boy.
My poor cat had not been feeling so good these past three days, and a trip to the vet yesterday did not uncover what had been causing his lack of appetite, his constipation, and his general listlessness, it only revealed that he could get very stressed with a trip to the health professionals.
A second vet visit today diagnosed him with end stage heart failure.
He would have had to endure just a few more ever uncomfortable days.
So we made the decision to say goodbye to him while he was still himself.
Understandably, I have been unable to wrap my head around any blogging this week.
Just not feeling particularly creative.
Which is a shame because it was quite an adventurous week last week, with separate trips to Gowanus, LIC and midtown Manhattan all providing me access to some fine cask ales.
